How we work together
I'm not a consultant who delivers a presentation and moves on. I work inside your business—in your tools, your meetings, your decisions—for as long as it takes to fix what's actually broken and build something that lasts.
30 minutes. You tell me where things are breaking. I ask questions, share what I'm hearing, and we figure out honestly whether there's a fit. No pitch. If it's not the right match, I'll say so—and often point you in a better direction.
Before I suggest anything, I understand everything. I talk to your team, review your financials, sit in your meetings, and map where your operations actually are versus where you think they are. Most founders are surprised by what the diagnostic surfaces—sometimes it's not the problem they came in with.
We identify the one or two constraints that are actually choking your growth—not the symptoms, the root causes. We agree on what to fix first and why, and we set the criteria for what success looks like. Everything else gets documented and deprioritised until it's time.
This is where most fractional engagements diverge from what I do. I'm not producing recommendations—I'm implementing them. Building the financial model, running the hiring process, facilitating the leadership offsite, fixing the vendor relationship. I own outcomes, not advice.
Everything I build is documented, transferable, and designed to survive the handoff to a full-time COO or a promoted internal leader. The goal is a business that doesn't need me—not one that becomes dependent on me. When we're done, you'll know it.
10–20 hours a week, embedded. I'm in your Slack, your meetings, your decisions. Not a monthly check-in and a slide deck.
I've built businesses from the ground up—growing revenue, managing P&Ls, co-founding a venture platform. That changes how I think about your problems.
I tell you what I see. If your hiring plan doesn't match your cash position, you hear it from me first—not from your board six months later.
Clear scope. Regular syncs. You always know what I'm working on and why. No hidden agendas, no scope creep without a conversation.
Most founders want to fix everything. I pick the one or two constraints actually choking your growth. Focus is the strategy.
Everything passes investor scrutiny and survives the handoff. You're not paying for something that falls apart when I leave.
Most embedded engagements run 6–12 months. Some founders bring me in for a focused 6–8 week sprint on a specific problem. Some ongoing relationships extend longer as the business grows through multiple inflection points. We agree on scope upfront and revisit every 90 days.
Yes, but deliberately few. I keep my client roster small so I can be genuinely present and useful—not spread thin across a dozen engagements. If I'm at capacity, I'll tell you and can often refer you to someone better suited for your situation.
Expect to spend 2–4 hours a week working directly with me, especially in the first 60 days. After that it typically reduces as systems take hold. The investment front-loads—but the payback is a founder who stops being the bottleneck for everything.
I'm most experienced in tech, SaaS, and supply chain or retail-adjacent businesses. The operational challenges at the post-PMF stage look remarkably similar across sectors, but domain depth matters—especially for board and investor conversations. If your industry is far outside my experience, I'll say so in our first conversation.
Everything is documented and designed for handoff. If you're hiring a full-time COO, I can help define the role, run the process, and onboard them. If you're promoting from within, I'll build the knowledge transfer. The goal is always that you're stronger when I leave than when I arrived.
I work with a small number of founders at a time, which means I'm selective. Here's how to know quickly whether we're right for each other.

Not sure? Send me a note — 15 minutes is usually enough to know.
The first conversation is 30 minutes and free. Tell me what's breaking. We'll figure out the rest from there.
